New York City celebrates WorldPride marking the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots and start of the gay rights movement – as 3 MILLION people flood into Manhattan to join the party
- Millions watched as people marched through the streets of Manhattan on Sunday in the WorldPride Parade
- Marks 50th anniversary of Stonewall Inn riots, which were spurred by police raids on the LGBTQI+ sanctuary
- 150,000 people signed up to be part of the WorldPride march and there are 70 company sponsors
- Others participated in the ‘Queer Liberation March’ in protest of abuses still perpetrated against the LGBTQI+ community, devoid of any corporate presence
- Thousands of cops were present on the streets and rooftops of the city, and also used drones and helicopters
